About the Role:
Do you have a knack for machines and a passion for precision? Hariss International Ltd, Uganda’s leading food and beverage manufacturer (makers of RIHAM drinks), is seeking a skilled Machine Operator (Labeller) to join our production team.
You’ll be the backbone of our packaging line, ensuring labels are applied perfectly to every bottle, maintaining equipment, and keeping production running smoothly. If you’re detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and thrive in a fast-paced factory environment, we want you!
What You’ll Do:
Operate & Maintain – Start up, run, and shut down labeling machines efficiently.
Keep It Clean – Perform regular cleaning and lubrication of equipment.
Track & Record – Log machine data (film weight, glue use, counters) accurately.
Changeovers – Adjust machines for different product lines when needed.
Handle Materials – Load/unload films, glue, and packaging supplies.
Troubleshoot – Work with maintenance teams to resolve minor issues.
Support Production – Ensure all labels meet quality standards before products move down the line.
Who We’re Looking For:
✔ Education: Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
✔ Experience: 1+ year in machine operation (FMCG/beverage industry a plus!).
✔ Skills:
- Basic mechanical know-how
- Ability to read gauges and follow procedures
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced factory
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Can work under pressure with a positive mindset
- Keen eye for detail and safety
Bonus If You Have:
- Experience with carbonated drink/water treatment plants.
- Familiarity with twin-pack machines.
